The ideal time to install a sprinkler system is  before  the sod is laid and your landscape bed perimeter is laid out or marked accordingly. 

It is possible to install an irrigation system if grass and landscaping are already established. Sprinklers can also be installed whenever you are ready. In the case that we need to access your landscape bedding,  lay mulch  after the installation for best results.

Each irrigation system is unique. The variables involved in calculating the cost may include property size, number of zones, landscaping details, types of plants, material costs, labour and more. It is impossible to say how much each system will cost without first observing the affected property.

However, to get a ballpark  idea, an average-sized lot in Windsor may run anywhere from $1,500 to $4000. Again, this all depends on the size and scope of the work.

Our irrigation specialists typically install an average-sized sprinkler system in 1 to 2 days.

Here are some tips to make the sprinkler  installation  process easier:

• If you have an already established lawn, we ask that our customers water their lawns consistently one week prior to the irrigation installation. This will ensure that our plowing unit can penetrate the soil to an 8"-10" depth requirement
• If your properties landscape is still in the process of completion by your landscaper, we suggest that you complete the grade of your lawn prior to our arrival to efficiently install sprinkler heads level to the sought-after grade
• Lay mulch AFTER the installation to reduce the appearance of weeds
• Be sure someone is home in the morning so that our irrigation specialists can access the home for at least half of the day. It is vital that the irrigation specialist be able to locate the main water line connection and where the timer will be installed before the subsequent work can be completed
• Contact   us if there are any special instructions regarding the plants in your landscape beds

A  winterization or (blow out) involves our company arriving at your home with an industrial-grade air compressor. Upon our arrival, we will connect our main air hose to your outside irrigation connection. During the 15-30 minute process, we will manually access each valve from the valve boxes installed outside of your home. 

We suggest that the homeowner verify that the valve boxes are visible and accessible to our team . The homeowner must first verify that the main irrigation valve is shut off and the timer is in the "off" position. If that main valve is not shut off or the ball valve is failed (and is allowing even a drip of water through) then the winterization process can not be completed. In the case of a failed ball valve, our company or a licensed professional will need to replace said ball valve before we can return to complete the winterization. 

To prepare for winterization :

1. Verify the valve box is visible for our irrigation specialists
2. Shut off the main irrigation valve
3. Put the timer in the "off" position
